This one actually came together fairly quickly. Like most of my songs, the main guitar progression came first, followed shortly thereafter with some vocal melodies. Obviously the song is about writing. Almost every song on this EP is about writing. The very last line of the song is the best line I've ever penned.
lyrics
Something I should work on is keeping better records.
Diaries of history and numbers.
Paper is better than computers. (I guess)
Safety in notepads!
Providing better writing since 199X.
The satellite is snow and cable's out of range.
I'll eavesdrop on phone calls.
And next, back to the old routine.
Designing what you're finding in binary code.
Deciding on this and weigh the risk.
Lately I've backed way off.
Nothing starts with something and ends very akwardly.
I don't believe in art because I don't know where to start.
I think Die Hard is on.
