"Bob's Killin' Song" just might be my favorite song from this EP. It's really simple and short, and the recording is as basic as it gets. I recorded it live while I was at work, I'm guessing once everyone else left for lunch. The guitar is a really shitty First Act guitar with plastic strings. I think it's autographed by some country artists or something. I don't know, it lives at work. I always intended on creating a longer arrangement of the song and recording it will full instrumentation, but after listening to this demo over the course of 6 months or so I decided to leave it alone. I like this version quite a bit.
lyrics
Outside my building she waves to the crowd,
and they've paved the way for the national tour.
Seven or eight local rags printed stories of has-beens who had been in TV shows once.
Everyone died when Bob shot them all down.
It was hard to distinguish who had more fans.
Police made a sketch from the witness.
She said, "He was here! Then ran there! Then... I guess I forgot."
We'll find new "Friends."
Even if they can't measure up to them.
I guess I forgot.
One counted thirty or more.
He had made quite the score for the kids and their party of choice.
